This is a spectacular new magazine and DVD collection to commemorate the centenary of the Battle of the Somme which began on 1st July 1916. The Western Front and The Battle of the Somme special goes on sale on the 22nd June.
The magazine covers all the key moments of the Great War as it was fought out on the western front in Belgium and France. It puts all the events in to context and clearly shows the build up in 1916 to the Battle of the Somme , the battle itself and the aftermath .

The Great War DVD
Follows the complete story of the war from the fall of the Austro-Hungarian Empire after Sarajevo through the battles on the western front and other key events such as Gallipoli , concluding with peace in europe and the treaty of Versailles. This DVD includes rare colourised footage which will be seen for the first time.
The Battle of the Somme DVD
This was a propaganda film commissioned by Lloyd George. It documented the British Army’s preparations and the early stages of the Battle of the Somme. The DVD shows how the film was made and uses forensic techniques to help uncover the secrets hidden in this incredible black and white documentary made a hundred years ago.
The Western Front and Battle of the Somme Magazine and two DVD collection goes on sale on 22 June at a price of £ 9.99. It will be available at Tesco , Sainsbury’s , WHS and WHS travel outlets (railways ) as well as key independent stores.
